Vincent Capraro (1919-2016)

Needlewatcher Arts Advisory recently began working on an artist legacy advancement project for a colleague, Barbara Sussman of Fog Hill & Co. located in Hoosick Falls, New York. The subject of this project was a fascinating individual; a painter of monumental canvases who had led a successful career, almost entirely out of the public eye. When Vincent Capraro passed away, Ms. Sussman was engaged to help celebrate his achievements by establishing a durable public legacy for the artist.  Assisting in the effort, I can share certain images and documents on this page, and on a separate Capraro Archives page, where visitors will find a number of biographical documents and other pertinent material. The goal is to place works by Vincent Capraro in appropriate museums, universities and other public institutions where the public can learn about the life and creative vision of this remarkable artist.
