CREATIVE LEGACIES: PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE

“If the future cannot find you, you were never here”

Needlewatcher Arts Advisory creates bespoke plans of action for advancing the creative legacies of visual artists, architects, designers, photographers, writers, musicians, performing artists, collectors, curators, inventors, and other creative professionals, while offering skilled guidance and assistance in reaching these goals.

Francis Bacon’s Studio, recreated in Dublin, Ireland. This visualizes challenges that artists and their heirs may one day face.

THE CHALLENGE.

Around the world, artists and their heirs stuggle to prevent lifetimes of creative work from being forgotten. While an abundance of professional resources exist for artists, designer, architects, author and performers whose estates possess the financial wherewithal  to endow foundations, the estates of creative professionals with more modest means have to be more creative. We are here to help.

The first thing one needs to understand is that managing an artist’s legacy requires a long-term investment of energy, time, and money. Many questions can be answered by lawyers and accountants, but many cannot. The scope of work in any creative legacy project will be dictated by a client’s resources, and their willingness  to pursue long-term goals.  Few artists’ heirs possess the experience, knowledge, or know-how to accomplish these tasks on their own.  In order for them to succeed, they will need to seek help from professionals such as appraisers, archivists, art dealers, curators, conservators, and registrars, but this is easier said than done.

We are here to  help. Needlewatcher LLC creates bespoke Plans of Action, based on information provided by clients.  We also provide clients with research, appraisal, and advisory serves, including referrals to qualified knowledgeable professionals, who can assist them in addressing a range of tasks.
